Event Summary
Join us for the 5th Annual Brooklyn Uke Fest! We’ll start the day with workshops by Jenny Selig, Jiggy with Viggy, and Gracie Terzian. Please note all the workshops are open to all levels! Our workshops will be followed by dinner in the Brooklyn Art Haus Cafe where we’ll have playalongs, open mic performances, and a raffle hosted by Ukulele Jake! We’ll end the day with a Concert with performances from Gracie Terzian, Jiggy with Viggy, Yaniza, and Gwendolyn Fitz. Check out our schedule below:
2:00pm: Check In Time for the Workshops! Workshops will be held in Studio 2!
2:15pm: How to Be Sus by Jenny Selig
A workshop on how suspended chords function and how to play them.
3:00pm: Finger-Style Fun by Jiggy with Viggy
Want to break into fingerstyle playing on the ukulele? Viggy's workshop features the basics of fingerstyle techniques, fingerpicking patterns, and how to incorporate fingerstyle into our strumming. Let's get jiggy with it!
4:00pm: What’s in a Chord by Gracie Terzian
Ever wondered why there’s a 7 or a min or Maj listed next to the chords you're playing? This workshop will tell you why!
5:00pm: Dinner in the Cafe/Sign-up for Open Mic (food and beverage are not included in your ticket and must be purchased separately at the venue)
5:15pm: Open Mic/Play-a-Long Begins hosted by Ukulele Jake
6:30pm: Raffle Time!
6:50pm: Doors open for Concert
7:00pm: Gwendolyn Fitz
